The original Watershed Assessment 1:24,000 Roads layer was developed as a coverage named roads_121 by California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Rr_roads_121.shp was created by Circuit Rider Productions, Inc. Rr_roads_121 represents the portion of the 1:24,000 Roads layer that describes the roads of the Russian River basin. Line features from the original source data were selected based on their spatial location within the extent of the Russian River basin. . This metadata file incorporates information that is specific to this layer as well as information that is available in the original metadata file for the 1:24,000 Roads layer (waroads.meta). The portions of this metadata file that borrow text from waroads.meta are indicated in quotation marks.

" Developed by Watershed Assessment Program, in
cooperation with the USDA Forest Service Remote
Sensing Lab. The base linework is from 1:24,000 Forest
Service Cartographic Feature Files (CFFs) and 1:24,000
USGS DLG-3 files. The original files were edge matched
and joined. Since some of the source data is at least
20 years old and the update process is ongoing, users
must take responsibility for appropriate use."

"Provides seamless updated and enhanced roads data by
river basin, modified for hydrologic modeling."

"Documentation for DLG roads is contained in "Digital
